AYURVEDIYA APPROACH FOR MANAGEMENT OF ULCERATIVE COLITIS : A CASE STUDY

Ulcerative Colitis (UC) is a subtype of inflammatory bowel disease with unknown etiology, that affects the colon. In Ayurveda, on basis signs and symptoms Raktatisara can be compared ulcerative colitis. Etiopathogenesis in relation to colitis by going through Ayurveda texts. due its high morbidity mortality. described Raktatisara, which has similar i.e. Sarakta-mala-pravrutti (rectal bleeding mucus), Shoola (~pain abdomen), Gudapaaka (~burning sensation rectum), Dourbalya (Generalised weakness) Trishna (~excessive thirst). A diagnosed case management was discussed here. this study we used some Ayurvedic formulations Piccha basti, give us quality results treatment safe cost effective.
